Road Closures - Baschurch April 2019

Essential carriageway resurfacing work is programmed to take place on Shrewsbury Road, Baschurch between 17th and 29th April 2019. The works are programmed to take place under a temporary road closure between the hours of 9:30am and 4:00pm. Shropshire Council (SC) has issued a proposed diversion route.

(NB: Further information is being sought from SC as to what access will be available into Baschurch during the road works)

Update 1 April 2019: Extract taken from letter sent to all Baschurch Residents -

For safety reasons due to the width of the carriageway the work will need to be carried out under a road closure on Shrewsbury Road from Junction B4397 to Prescott Lodge Roundabout 09.30am – 16.00 pm Monday to Friday. Please expect delays in this area during the works.

During the closure access to the works area will be restricted to:

• Essential Highway Personnel,
• Local residents who live and reside within the road closure,
• Businesses located within the closure (if applicable),
• Pedestrians, Dismounted Cyclists and Equestrians,
• Emergency Service Vehicles
